  Article re New Members of The Governing Body

  this weeks study mag, march 15th has on page 26 an article re.

  the new members, anthony morris and geoffrey w jackson .

  both are men believed to be in their fifties who joined bethel in 2002 or 2006. they both came from the the "nethanim class" of helpers to the gb .. * w92 4/15 p. 31 announcement ***therefore it has been decided to invite several helpers, mainly from among the great crowd, to share in the meetings of each of the governing body committees, that is, the personnel, publishing, service, teaching, and writing committees.

  Where are you people getting your info from? No one on the GB is "non-anointed." Not all of the Nethinim were of the "other sheep".

  I have no doubt that some of these men realized as they were climbing the Watchtower ladder, that the only way to make it to the top rung was to be of the 'anointed' class. So, what do you do, you start quietly partaking of the emblems, with as little fanfare as possible. If it works, well then you keep on partaking as you are promoted to CO, DO, etc.

  I am sure all these new GB members have been partaking for at least a couple decades, and apparently it has paid off.

  Remember a sister cannot keep her maiden name and if she has/does, the brothers will still call on her, "Sister Husbandslastname."

  The only story I ever heard on this topic was a case where a woman got married and kept her name, the elders of course were in a tizzy, so they called Bethel and asked what to do. They were told to leave her alone and that it was none of their business.

  Just a story, not sure where I heard it or if there is any truth to it.

  i've got the conversation my 'laywer' jason had with the head of my appeal hearing ghram, he refues to answer any questions about the recorder being tampered with, but denies that anyone named 'sean' was at the meeting, then later he talks about talking to 'sean' at the meeting!.

  this guy is so desprate to cover his own ass.

  btw, i will testify that the bag was closed when i was in the room before i left and that it was open after i got back.

  Ok I now have listened to the recording(as much of it as was audible) and I am more amazed at how foolish it is.

  Your friend "Jason" claims to be calling as a member of some legal firm, but he refuses to give his last name! I'm surprised the elder talked to him as long as he did.

  We claim to be a country based on freedom of religion, and yet this poor teacher is persecuted for simply displaying a representation of his faith.

  I think its clear that Pastafarians are under attack in this country. Don't expect any sympathy from the mainstream media. I'm surprised the paper there bothered to cover it at all. They clearly show their anti-FSM bias, referring to FSM as being "created" by Bobby Henderson. Hello????

  Dan Sydlik dies, the last of the moderating forces.

  our good friend dan sydlik died today about 2 pm eastern time.

  he was the last of the moderating forces on the gb.

  lately he has had little influence among the ted (aka the boss) jaracz (head of the bethel cia - the service department) henchmen and loyalists.

  He had a choice, just like Ray Franz, he could have quit if he had a true lamenting human conscience.

  Ok, I'm not sure that's a fair comparision, and Ray did not 'quit', he was forced out and then DFd.

  We all make choices, and we are all responsible for our decisions. Its very easy to condemn the leaders of the Borg for their deceptive practices, and rightly so. But we all at one point or another decided to live by their crazy rules. I have yet to see someone forcibly immersed at a JW baptism.

  The Watchtower is by definition, an NGO. That was never the issue. They are an organization, they are not part of a government: a Non-Government Organization. The issue was that they registered with the U.N. as an associate, which involved supporting the goals of the U.N. And the fact that they condemned other religious groups for this while they themselves did it.

  JW's having kids

  this is a simply question that came to me as i sit here reading all the various topics and their responses and i my mind often takes me back to a question that came to me some time ago.

  simply put; why have jw's continued to have children .

  .since the beginning - 1912,1918,1925 and so on if the end was coming in their lifetime .

  There's some truth to this. I knew so many dubs that said their kids were "accidents". After they had 2 or 3 of these "accidents" I began to wonder whether they really understood how pregnancy takes place.

  A much more likely scenario is that JWs refer to the births as "accidents" because they know what the official WT stance on childbearing is, that it is very much discouraged. No loyal JW is going to say, yeah we decided we wanted kids, so we ignored the faithful slaves "counsel" on this matter! They have to say, 'oops! we had an accident, guess we can no longer pioneer."

  I think most of those "accidents" were not so accidental.
